The 10th Annual Pediatric Endocrinology Symposium will provide a broad spectrum of interesting and challenging topics on growth hormone growth disorders, obesity, new genetic probes for causes of growth disorders. The most current research findings and practice strategies will be presented by an international faculty. The virtual format will consist of didactic lectures and will feature an interactive discussion via Zoom enabled technique.

Objectives
  1. Explain criteria for optimal use of growth hormone and new formulations of growth hormone in pediatric endocrinology
  2. Interpret use of novel therapies to treat achondroplasia in children
  3. Articulate the best genetic approach to children with growth disorders
  4. Identify appropriate therapeutic interventions in childhood obesity and be familiar with benefits and inherent risks of bypass therapies in severe childhood obesity syndromes
  5. Understand the role of miRNA s in regulating growth in different in vivo and in vitro models on growth hormone and its receptor, IGFs and their receptors beside current knowledge in humans, and highlights that this novel regulatory system is important for human growth
  6. Summarize the optimal methods of evaluating and treating children with diverse growth disorders safely and effectively
