Current evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge is significant for quality and safe patient care for medical surgical patient population.
To increase the number of certified medical surgical clinical nurses to enhance the greater body of knowledge in nursing discipline at NYU Langone Health.



ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify best practice guidelines and test-tasking strategies for the medical surgical certification exam.
  2. Discuss the impact of nursing interventions and treatment of illnesses commonly encountered among the medical-surgical patient population.
  3. Discuss evaluation of nursing interventions in the management of medical surgical patient population to improve quality of care.
